This is a simple outline of
Rural Development Impact Factors:
The impacts can be measured by changes in:
1. Financial indicators including:
job, income, taxes, business, trade,
banking, public assistance and housing;
2. People-related indicators including:
population size, rates, diversity and families,
literacy, education, skills, land/home/biz ownership;
3. Social indicators including:
crime types, rates and civil court cases,
legal and human rights, services, medical,
school, religion, recreation, activities;
4. Environmental indicators including:
water, soil, plants, animals and air quality,
infrastructure, utilities, resources.
A Balanced, Fair and Scientific Assessment of these
is the real challenge we all face. Hopefully by not
tipping the scales too far one way we can achieve
an optimization and sustainable prosperity.
